Run for Green in Davidson Sept. 22

Davidson Lands Conservancy is sponsoring the first Run for Green road race along the new Greenway in Davidson, N.C., on September 22, 2007.

We’re planning a half-marathon, 5-k, and Fun Run/Pet walk. Race registration will be capped at 350.

Proceeds from the race will help Davidson Lands Conservancy protect natural lands and other open space in and around Davidson, N.C.

Race-day parking

SEPT. 13 PARKING UPDATE - The primary parking location is the bus lot of Davidson Elementary School, 251 South Street, Davidson, for entrants and spectators arriving before 7:30 AM.
Volunteers and sponsors arriving before 7:30 AM may use the parking lot in front of the school. Vendors, who must arrive before 7:30 AM, may use a small lot at the lower end of Walnut Street.
After 7:30 and for overflow, please park at Davidson United Methodist Church, 233 South Main Street. Spaces in the church lot nearest Main Street will be reserved for Beth Shalom congregants who will use church facilities for the Yom Kippur service. After parking at DUMC, exit from the South Street end of the lot and proceed three blocks to start/finish/registration area. Note: The new South Street connection from Cornelius will be blocked from 7:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
